What is fascinating for me is to see that critical role of the lake for the local villagers. The lake acts as a fishing ground, a platform for floating market, to a foundation for floating houses.
Stretched from Nyaungshwe to Nampan, Inle Lake also acts as an important transportation route for the people in the area.
